1. Decompress the Hidden Power
SIT or ZIP file. If you do not have a utility to decompress
files, you can get one for free on the internet.
PC: http://website.lineone.net/~chris_m/
Mac: http://download.com.com/3000-2254-5040047.html
NOTE: When
unzipped there should be 4 folders with the following
names: PowerBonus, PowerSeparations, PowerTools1 and
PowerTools2.
2. Move
the four folders that were decompressed in Step 1 into the
Effects Folder in Elements 3. Move the folders, not the
files in the folders. The Effects folder can be found inside
the Photoshop Elements program folder as follows:
PC: C:\Program
Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 3\Previews\Effects
Mac: Applications\Adobe
Photoshop Elements 3\ Previews\Effects
3.
Delete the Previews Cache.
PC: C:\Program
Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2\Previews\Cache
Mac: Applications\Adobe
Photoshop Elements 2\ Previews\Cache
4. Restart Elements
and rebuild the settings file. To rebuild the settings,
hold down the Command+Option+Shift/Ctrl+Alt+Shift keys on
the keyboard immediately after restarting the Elements program.
Hold the keys down until the prompt to rebuild settings
appears, and click [YES]. PC users may have to choose to
go to the Editor, temporarily releasing the keys. Rebuilding
settings will restore default settings and palette placements.
