Custom Black-and-White
This tool can be used on any RGB image to convert it to black-and-white. It is a complete process that separates RGB components and combines them using layer properties. Once the separation is complete, a 'preferred' setup is established from the Red, Green, Blue and Luminosity components. For those looking for a straight conversion, this will satisfy your needs. For those with a more creative feel for balck-and-white conversion, the fun has just begun. You can use the layers any way you want -- change opacities, modes, order, invert content and more -- to achieve interesting and unusual black-and-white conversions.

Infrared
This tool will convert color digital images to mock infrared. The conversion uses light theory and image enhancement to achieve characteristic black-and-white infrared photography results, including characteristic glow, grain, and pitch black skys and water. Once the base conversion is made, you can adjust glows, grain and tonality to suit your idea of a good infrared conversion for your images. Layers used in the conversion remain intact so you can adjust the conversion as desired.

Water setup
This tool can be used in conjunction with the Infrared tool to make adjustments to water (or even the sky if you find it advantageous!). The tool adds a royal blue over selected area(s) in the image and you can adjust the opacity to control the result with the Infrared tool.
