Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0

Photoshop Elements 7 for Windows and Vista was released by Adobe in October of 2008. Though the Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 7 has not been released in book form, Hidden Power tools for Elements 7 will be made available on this site, eventually, and some ambitious new materials that get deeper into masking and isolation as well. Please have a look at the Downloads page for Elements 7 to see what is currently available for download or puirchase from this site.

What is new in Elements 7:
While Adobe did not change the implementation of action add-ons like the Hidden Power tools, I've taken the opportunity to update and improve the free tools. All other tool releases will include updates and changes as well to improve performance. This means those who purchased and previous version of Hidden Power will need to upgrade to the Hidden Power 7 package to get the most from the tools in Elements 7.

Enhancements to Elements 7 by Adobe mostly include features meant to satisfy consumer interests that are a little gimicky. I am a bit of a skeptic when it comes to such automation. Some of the more prominent additions to Elements 7 by Adobe are listed below:

Adobe Additions:
Merge objects to make one good image from a series of exposures
Simultaneously select an area and apply effects in a single brush stroke
Whiten teeth and make skies bluer in one step
Add soft focus effects with a filter meant for portrait enhancement
Find photos quickly with a new text search box
