The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 4.0 - The Book
The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 4 is the first book released for Elements 4 that covers Mac and PC.
It has been completely re-worked by the author (Richard Lynch) to focus on the image editing workflow. Almost half of the book has been replaced with new tutorials and expanded concentration on practical application of tools for image correction. The goal was to make the book a more cohesive whole.
The book includes a CD with over 100 Hidden Power tools that enhance the functionality of Photoshop Elements as an image editing tool. This includes RGB, CMYK and Luminosity and Color separations, channel mixers, color balance, curve presets, Gradient Map as curves, Layer masks, true duotones, text to vector, layer blending tools, custom sharpening, and more. (See the full list of tools). The CD also includes all color images used in the examples for the book, and many examples of layered corrections so you can see the results and compare them on screen.
The book has been called Elements 5 and "advanced" because it takes Elements users to a new level.
The book is divided into 5 parts and 11 chapters, including the following:
Part I: Essentials for Serious Image Editing
Chapter 1: Resolution: The Cornerstone of Image Detail

What Others Are Saying
"I've seen a consistent improvement in my images as well as continued growth in understanding of image editing process. This is not a book that you will work through and never revisit. My HP book stays open on my computer desk as a reference at all times." — William A. Prather, amazon.com
"Photoshop Elements 5! ...actually it's version #4, but when you add Richard Lynch's new Hidden Elements then PS Elements naturally gets an upgrade."—Fred Showker, graphic-design.com
