Hidden Power Booster Elements

Those who have upgraded to Elements 4 and tried to install Hidden Power tools included with The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 3 will find that not all the tools won't work in Elements 4. A new tool set will be included with the new Elements 4 book when it comes out, but the book will include only Curve presets, not editable Curves. Adobe removed access to the standard Curves interface from the program for Elements 4. This Curves tool is only available separately and will not be included in the tools from The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 4. Booster Elements is available for Mac and PC for $29.99. The plug-in works with earlier versions of Elements as well.

Installation instructions come with the tool package. But installation instructions and troubleshooting information also appear below.

Hidden Power Booster Elements Installation Instructions 1. Decompress the ZIP file (BoosterElem_1_5USPW.zip). If you do not have a utility to decompress files, you can get one for free on the internet. PC: http://website.lineone.net/~chris_m/ Mac: http://download.com.com/3000-2254-5040047.html NOTE: When unzipped there should be 2 files with the following names: BoosterElem_1_5PRInstall.exe, and Manual BoosterElem Win.pdf. 2. Double-click the BoosterElem_1_5PRInstall.exe file. This will begin the installation process. Follow the instructions as they appear on screen. When it is time to select a place for installation, choose the Filters folder in the Plug-ins folder in the Elements program directory: PC: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 4.0\Plug-ins\Filters 3. Restart Photoshop Elements 4. 4. Please read the PDF manual. It is short and explains basic operation of the tool fully.

Troubleshooting

There are currently no user issues reported with the Hidden Power Booster Elements tools.
